What to Expect

First, we’ll listen

We can do this on the phone or in person. Whatever makes you comfortable. Tell us what’s been going on and what you’d like to see happen next. We’ll tell you what we can do to help you right now and what you may need to do to help yourself.

You decide

It’s hard to make decisions when you’re worried about where you’re going to sleep tonight. If you’re 12 to 17, our emergency shelter is a safe, free, voluntary choice. If you’re over 17, let us connect you with a YouthLink navigator to talk about your options.

Together, we make a plan

Whether you’re hoping to go back home or live on your own, we’ll help you make a plan to reach your goals. If you need other services, we can help you find them. It may take a little time to get there, but we’re in if you are.

“I was homeless and living on and off the streets for over 5 years when I found Stopover.
I finally feel safe and am able to sleep without being worried if I was going to get attacked or not.
After a few short months, I’m getting ready to move into my own apartment.”
—Taty, Age 22
